New Driver Program
Where Safe Drivers Begin
Our comprehensive program includes 20 hours of classroom instruction and 10/20 or 30 hours of in-car training, designed and delivered by our experienced Yukon Driving Academy instructors.
We focus on building confident, safe, and responsible drivers through a hands-on, supportive learning environment.
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, which may qualify for insurance discounts.
This is our signature course — created for Yukoners of all ages who are new to driving or want to strengthen their skills behind the wheel.

Remedial/Defensive Driving Course
1 Day Program
This recognized course helps you remove demerits from your record or meet the necessary requirements to reinstate your driver’s license after a suspension, DUI, or other lapse in licensing.
Classes are offered on the last Tuesday of every month, with private one-on-one sessions available at an additional cost for those who prefer personalized instruction or flexible scheduling.

Gearing Up- Motorcycle Training Course
Learn to ride safely and confidently with our weekend Gearing Up Motorcycle Training, taught by certified Yukon Driving Academy instructors.
Training bikes are provided, and class sizes are small to ensure personalized instruction.
Graduates receive a Canada Safety Council certificate, which may help newly licensed riders obtain motorcycle insurance.
Private Motorcycle Lessons One-on-One Training for Every Rider
Get personalized, one-on-one motorcycle training from an experienced rider who stays current with today’s laws, safety standards, and riding techniques.
Each lesson is tailored to your individual skill level — whether you’re brand new to riding or looking to sharpen your road skills.
Vehicle use for road tests
Our vehicles are available to rent for both car and motorcycle road tests. A one-hour driving assessment/lesson is required for all rentals to ensure you’re confident and ready for your test. We can also include an additional lesson beforehand to help you feel fully prepared on test day.
Please note: Rentals are subject to availability and may not be offered if vehicles are already in use for training or testing.
Class 4 Preparation
Designed for drivers with a valid Class 5 license who want to upgrade to a Class 4 commercial license. This program covers key regulations and safe driving practices through four hours of classroom theory and two hours of in-car instruction to help you prepare confidently for your road test.
Personal Trailer Training
Learn the essentials of safe and effective trailer operation through classroom and hands-on training. This course covers loading, hookup procedures, reversing techniques, and safety inspections, ensuring you’re confident and prepared to tow your personal trailer responsibly.
Heavy Trailer Training
This program teaches the essentials of safe and effective operation of trailers over 4,550kg. Training includes loading, setup, brake adjustments, couplers, and reversing techniques, with a strong focus on safety checks and inspections. The course includes 3 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of hands-on training and evaluation.
